KONGO TAI
The original KONGO TAI was in 1770's, and the present float was reconstructed in 1849.
The name of this float, "KONGO,"is derived from the name of a gold mine in China. Also, the tapestry is a Chinese embroidery. On the roof top there is a large silver globe.Pictures:Festival floats of Takayama festival published by Hida takayama tourism association
