Stepping into Shokawa village, you will hear a beautiful natural symphony
composed of birds and animals native to the area.
The Shokawa zakura,or cherry tree, which has stood here over 450 years,
reflects the changing of the seasons.
Flowers native to Yamananaka Pass indicate the coming of the late Spring
in the mountainous region.
Observe the over 200 year old Gassho, or praying-hands construction-style
houses, along with dinosaurs fossils, exhibited in the Shokawa Folk Village.
