MIYAGAWA, THE VILLAGE OF CARTOON KINGDOM
Miyagawa is promoting its community development with cartoons. Since the
cartoon kingdom was founded in 1994, Miyagawa has been eager to promote
various exchanges through cartoons, the most outstanding of which is the
friendly relationship established with Libin, Belgium.
Miyagawa has a population of about one-thousand, and 90% of the area is
covered with forests.
Cartoon Sumit House in Miyagawa contains fourty- thousand cartoon books,
and is located next to the ski area and a hot spring resort. The Miyagawa
Hometown Inn and the Hida Miyagawa Folklore Museum are also located in
Miyagawa.
