Kamitakara is well-known for the Okuhida Hot Spring Resort and has five hot spring resort areas,:Hirayu, Fukuchi, Shinhirayu, Tochio, and Shinhodaka. There are over 160 open-air baths where visitors can enjoy warm confortable water and the seasonal changes in the scenery. The Shinhodaka Ropeway, the Hida Nature Museum, Health Land, the Toy Museum, and the Bear Zoo are a must to visit.
